Prop 8

I have seen a reemergence of California's prop 8in different blog posts recently. Now as I work offshore and am somewhat sheltered from what is going on in the rest of the world, I am not sure why it is back, but this seems like an opportune time for me to spew forth my 2 cents on the subject. When did the United States become a Nazi run country? We are telling grown adults that they do not warrant the right to marry the person that they love because they share the same plumbing. How shallow can you get. Might have more on this subject later.

National Guard ?

Well I have been thinking of joining the Army National Guard. I am kind of torn though as I have already been in the military full time and I do not want to do that again, but the benefits such as medical insurance and retirement are nothing to shake a stick at. The wife is not thrilled with the chance that I could get deployed, and I cant blame her for that as I am none to thrilled with that possibility either, but I feel like I need to do something to change the direction my life is currently heading.

Still Working

Well I am still waiting for everything to get into place for a possible position with the Lafayette Police Department. In the meantime, I am still working offshore as a company rep. Still having conflicting thoughts about changing jobs as well. I don't like going offshore all the time, but I do like the money I make, and it will be hard to give that up. On the plus side I will be able to spend a lot more time with my family, and ultimately that is much more important then any dollar amount. I just wish I could stop thinking about the salary difference. AARRGGG

Well I just found out that a buddy of mine and his wife are trying to start a small company. http://www.dreamfloatzz.com/index.html is there website, and I have placed my fat rear in these and it is heaven on water. Frigging economy

Well we just spent the last of our money on groceries. Sadly I mean we are now negative in all bank accounts. I have been trying to get a job in another industry, hell I am willing to take any job currently, but I am finding I am to qualified for many positions, and not qualified for others. Hell burger joints don't want me because the feel I will bolt as soon as a better job open up. I feel lost and not sure what to do at this time, as I do not recall being in this tight of a financial situation in my life before. Oh well wont does not kill you only makes you stronger is how the saying goes, so by the time we dig our way out of this mess we should be damn near indestructible.
